Evergreen Passion Inspired by Paul Simon

Last Friday I got a lucky ticket to attend the concert of Paul Simon at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City.

I can’t believe that as an American music legend at his 74, he performed music like a young man and stood on the stage for over two hours. It was my first time to hear his live performance, also my first time to enjoy an outdoor concert in rain storms. With most loyal audiences and his fans in rain coats and umbrellas, we enjoyed the music “showers” till after 11PM. This may be Paul’s last year of performance before his retirement. I could feel that he was pouring his heart in the show. I said to myself, I want to perform on my life’s stage like this, and I want to have such waving fans as those who sang together, applauded and shouted loud and joyfully in the rain storms!

Paul Simon’s concert brought me many inspirations. Without fancy stage screening or decoration, nor even a dance or a beautiful lady in the band, he still won people’s hearts. Stared since 1964 as a guitarist and singer-songwriter, he has earned twelve Grammys for his solo and collaborative work, including a Lifetime Achievement Award.

From my personal experience through Paul Simon’s live concert, I believe his success comes from four keys:

1. Evergreen Passion.

Just like what he sings, “Still crazy after all these year”……it summarized his devotion to and perseverance in music for over 50 years. His energy derived from this true passion and gift is just amazing. Many stars have passions as well, but many of them are like shooting stars because their passions alone could not pull them through life challenges and the inner obstacles from themselves. Evergreen passion is a perfect unity of both heart fuel and mind power, so that the person with an evergreen passion has full commitment and persistence to sustain any challenges from life or from themselves.

2. Free Spirit.

Paul has a special style as his niche to attract his fans. From his classics like “The Sound of Silence” to his new songs, he performed like a fish in the water, in a casual coat or T-shirt, with a non-fancy figure and contemplative face, his engaging posture leaning towards audience and his self-indulgent hands movements. You can feel that free spirit enjoying and expressing music, and it’s contagious, as the fans all shouted, danced or kissed out themselves.

3. International Music in One.

This is another essence of his niche and special style. Paul took international adventures and collected diverse music and instruments from different cultures. On the stage, you can see many rare instruments hanging around, and the band members including Paul himself changed their instruments many times for different songs.

4. Excellent Expertise in Music.

There are totally 10 musicians performed in Paul Simon’s concert. Everyone of them has a special music skill area and unique style. Most of them can even play multiple instruments. Some of them performed music with Paul for over 25 years. You can hear from the performance quality that he hired the best musicians.

This Will Make You Unstoppable

 

Dear friend,

What’s your feeling when you need go into every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday……then start another similar circle next week…… Is it becoming just a routine to you, or life may even become boring and frustrated in such mechanical repetition, especially when you may not be doing what you really enjoy to do every day?

What could be your source and power to keep going every day, refreshed, motivated, and joyfully? If not yet, what are you missing?

If you are not living everyday fully yet, there is a secret for you to turn it all around! Ready to learn the secret now? Ok. The answer is, you need give everyday a meaning to live it to its fullness, and make everyday a special call of action.

I call this secret practice “My 7 Meaningful Days Ritual”. Here is an example how I’d define my 7 days a week and make them each meaningful and actionable, so I can be easily on the top of each day.

1. My Passionate Monday

Monday I’d clarify or review my top 5 passions, my visions for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, and for life. My plan to follow my passions and get closer to my dreams.

2. My Focused Tuesday

Tuesday I remind myself to focus on main targets and up to 3 top priorities every day that will make my each day fulfilled. Focus on the core, do less, while accomplish more.

3. My Productive Wednesday

Wednesday I review my productivity, am I on the right track, prioritizing my daily tasks and making good use of my time and energy, where and how I can improve.

4. My Breakthrough Thursday

Thursday I reflect if I have any fears or procrastination, where I need collect courage to make breakthrough, where I should make changes to make things happen, where I need challenge myself to make difference.

5. My Connective Friday

Friday is the last day of work day. I may slow down a little bit. Review my work/life balance. Reach out more to connect with people even though I’m doing that every day. I remind myself to be more conscious about building my healthy and positive connections and relationships.

6. My Creative Saturday

Saturday is family time, kids time, participate with them in creative and explorative activities with my full heart, like relive my childhood. I am both an adult and a child today.

7. My Divine Sunday

Sunday I get close to God more consciously. Attend church service, worship, donate, listen to preaches, pray, connect with other people in the holy spirit, understand and share true and divine love. I regain peace and resurrect from my wounds from the world. Sunday is also Sabbath, rest for spirit, heart, mind and body to recharge with energy.

8. My Grateful Everyday

I reflect or list 3-10 things what I am most grateful to have that day or in my life, what I’m proud of, and what I’m happy for. I cleanse negative things from my mind and heart, and replace them with positive things. I acknowledge magical life with all the wonderful little or big things.

You just need follow it every day and build up step by step, your meaningful future will naturally unfold in front of you. Passion Interviews on YouTube from “NYC & Globe on Passions Project”

“NYC & Globe on Passions” Project is born in Feb.2016!

I have had this idea for long time to connect with and interview as many as I can those people who are following their passions and doing what they love. A few years ago, I initiated and interviewed over 30 international passion pioneers and published the interview report online with their real life stories and insights. It’s called “Doing What You Love” Interview Report. Many of those interviewees are entrepreneurs. I loved their energy and commitment to their passions. Those interviewees with their passionate stories and insights inspired thousands of people and are still inspiring and empowering us today.

I grow, and my coaching services grow as well. This great idea has been growing inside of me. I wanted to do video interview for better message convey. Such idea also somewhat frightened me as it’s still my challenge to do videos especially with myself in. I guess my conservative culture background wanted me to stay in a quiet place:-). My passion and the Law of Attraction are more ready than my mind. And now my big idea manifested again, in a better way. From the clearer idea to manifestation, it’s quicker than I thought. I did not get time to prepare well, and the opportunities just knocked my door. They are telling me that I am ready, in my mind and wish, even though not in my preparation yet. So I got just one night to be afraid of the opportunity and challenge myself to open the door. Here I am in!

I got the potential interviewee’s agreement! I did the interview with my cell phone. The same day, right after my first interview, I got another potential interviewee’s agreement too! So within two days, while companying my kids in their Winter Olympic Camp ice skating classes, without any formal dressing and makeup, without any detailed interview script preparation, I made two great quality interviews! And the “NYC & Globe on Passions” Project was like naturally generated immediately following the interviews. That’s the feeling of doing what you love, adventurous, smooth and joyful. God must be happy with my idea and long term efforts before this moment!:)

I reactivated my YouTube channel which I opened years ago but did not get chance to run it. Now it’s time to let it open and spread meaningful inspirations. I learned quickly how to make videos and publish them. It’s not for perfection, but for bringing great inspirations and empowerment to people like you who are thirsty for great resources to help you take actions and enjoy your life more. And I believe this project will grow to be better and better. If you also took long time wandering if a new challenge and change is for you or not, and if it’s always in your heart and mind, now it’s your time to take it and make it.

I believe there will be more and better quality interviews coming on their way. I don’t know when and how. I just share this mission to the universe and would follow the energy flow where it may bring me to. I’m ready for more adventures and surprises, therefore better inspirations to share with you.

2016 Valentine’s Day Love of Freedom

 

2016 Valentine’s Day, how would you celebrate?

With your loved ones, or by yourself……

Feeling that you want to celebrate it, or want to escape this special day……

Finally understanding love, or still seeking love somewhere or anywhere……

Valentine’s Day is just a reminder for love. Love does not just thrive in one day. Love calls you every moment. The difference is just, some hear it, some don’t. Love still calls, no matter if you hear it or not. The former is conscious and prepared to love.

Love is a journey, starting from yourself, and ending at yourself, even though you have walked around the earth many circles to look for love. Love is a complete circle, and self-abundant circle.

Today is 2016 Valentine’s Day. I claim my freedom in love, after being a love slave for years. No more attachment to anyone, and no more self lost to anything. I would not depend on love from anyone else any more for my happiness. My love is abundant, for myself, for my loved ones, and for the world.

Today, I invite the universe to celebrate with me, not just one person, or two persons…… for love, for consciousness, for wisdom, for happiness, for passions, for success, for abundance……Today, I miss nothing. Today, let’s celebrate, if you’d join me. With love, and in love. And let the celebration continue, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, and every day……

Live the Valentine’s Day as the best day of your life. Give your love the wings of freedom. Let it fly today, and let it fly everyday!

Appreciation Challenge Day 21 – Choose to Live Abundantly No Matter What

Today is the last day of my 21 Days Challenge of Appreciating Yourself and Sharing. From Nov. 19^th to Dec. 9^th, I can’t believe it that I have made it so quickly and so enjoyably, even through 3 busy weekends!:) This appreciation habit will definitely continue in my life as one of the most important success habits.

I initiated this challenge for one of my clients. The great news is, he has accomplished meeting this challenge too, and he is committed to a greater 2016, at the same time he is inspiring and encouraging his network of over thousand of people! This ripple effect to help others transform their lives makes me the happiest. I believe I will help more people to live their fulfilling lives. I hope you are benefiting from the profound effect of appreciation and my sharing.

This little success is not saying that life is all rainbows now. No, definitely not. We still face daily challenges, even big trials, some are very painful. Some of the past could still haunt in us time from time and try to block us from achieving what we want.

Now it’s your choice. Everyday we could face such time of choice. Choose to live in scarcity and frustration, or choose to live in abundance and appreciation.

Here are 8 strategic ways for you to create and live an abundant life since today. Some of them could be mini processes that your life needs every day:

1. Put yourself back to the Center of your life, and Love yourself unconditionally
2. Cleanse all the past negativities and fears that are not serving you any more. Remember it’s your choice!
3. Discover and embrace your purpose, passions and gifts, and commit to doing what you love instead of staying in your comfort zone and ignoring the meaning of your life, or keeping tolerating the status quo because of any fears
4. Learn from the best, reflect and refocus to lift yourself up
5. Reconnect with your best friends and make new good friends
6. Fill your life with curiosity, creativity and fun by hobbies and new adventures
7. Appreciate, appreciate, and appreciate every day
8. Share, Give, Inspire, Empower, master your energy flow and attract more abundance to you. Remember, to get what you want the most, give it first!

Dear friend, practice above ways, and watch what you are experiencing and feeling differently. Every one of the 8 ways could be expanded to be a great practice with targets, markers, strategies and actions to achieve the best results in short time. You can even build up new success habits by keeping practicing these ways which will benefit your whole life.
